CONJUNCTION

1 ) Apa Itu conjunction.?

Conjunction adalah kata yang di gunakan untuk menghubungkan antara kata , frase , antara kata dan kata , antara clause dan antar kalimat

Contoh Antara kata
* He and they have a private business

Contoh Antara frase
* His brother and her sister are my true friends

Contoh antara kata dan frase
* She and his mother went to Borobudur last month

Contoh Antara clause
* He had finished Learning when his father came

Contoh antara kalimat
* Doni takes the English department and Dodi takes the chemistry department

2 ) jenis-jenis Conjunction

Conjunction sendiri terbagi menjadi 2 bentuk yaitu

a. Compound conjunction ( kata sambung yang setara )

Compound conjunction juga terbagi lagi menjadi beberapa bentuk yaitu

* Coordinate Conjunction

Coordinate Conjunction adalah kata sambung yang menghubungkan sesuatu yang setara dengan grammatikal di antara nya yaitu

( For,and,nor,but,or,yet,so ) atau biasa di sebut "Fan boys"

Contoh
- He doesn't come today, for his mother need surgery soon
- Doni likes eating ice cream and candy
- She nor he calls you
- I really want the toy, but I don't have enough money
- We have to go now, or we Will be late
- They don't study this week, yet they pass the Exam well
- I feel exhausted, so I need to rest soon

* Correlative conjunction

Correlative conjunction Adalah kata sambung yang terdiri dari kata-kata yang berpasangan seperti ( both-and, not only-but also, neither-nor, either-or )

Both ..... And = keduanya ..... Dan / baik ..... maupun

( Untuk 2 hal yang tercapai )
both Doni and Dodi are my friends

Not only ..... But also = tidak hanya ....... tetapi juga

( untuk 2 hal yang tercapai )
Not only my mom but also my dad goes to Singapore

Neither ...... Nor = Baik ...... Maupun ....... tidak

( Untuk 2 hal yang tidak tercapai )
Neither ana nor Alice is sleeping

Either ...... Or ... = Jika bukan ..... Berarti / ..... atau ......

( Untuk 1 hal yang tercapai )
Either Doni or Dodi brings my phone

Untuk penyesuaian antara subject dan verb pada correlative conjunction di atas adalah
sebagai berikut :

Both ..... ( subject1 ) ..... and ..... ( subject2 ) + ( Plural Verb )
contoh: Both Bobi and Dodi Go to the market every day

Not only ..... ( subject1 ) ..... But also ..... ( subject2 ) + ( Verb )
contoh: Not only Bobi But also Dodi plays a video game
Note : Pada correlative conjunction ini penggunaan verb nya harus sesuai dengan subject2

Neither ..... ( subject1 ) ..... Nor ..... ( subject2 ) + ( Verb )
contoh: Neither Bobi Nor Dodi comes to my home

Note : Pada correlative conjunction ini penggunaan verb nya harus sesuai dengan subject2

Either ..... ( subject1 ) ..... Or ..... ( subject2 ) + ( Verb )
contoh: Either Bobi Or Dodi visits my parent

*Complex conjunction ( Subordinate Conjunction )

Complex conjunction Atau biasa di sebut Subordinate conjunction Adalah kata sambung yang menghubungkan kalimat Utama dan Anak kalimat seperti ( because, after, as soon as, as long as, before, once, still, until, when, whenever, while, who, which, that)

contoh :
- You can enjoy playing game after you finish your assignment
- While he was sleeping his father came
- She finished her cooking when his aunty came
- The man who is standing is my father
- He said that he would pick me up
- I left early because I want to help my mom
- Before coming to the party you have to visit me

SOAL LATIHAN CONJUNCTION

1 ) I ( ……. ) my sister have an appointment today
2 ) The secretary wants to go to Singapore, ( ……. ) her father doesn’t permit her

3 ) The new teacher confuses whether he teaches in 9a ( ……. ) 9b

4 ) ( ……. ) Roki ( ……. ) Raka are football players ( + )

6 ) Neither Raka nor Roki ( ……. ) the meeting ( menghadiri )
